Chemicals that transformed humanity

Designed as part of a school project "TypeSpa", this is a design activity to create a legible, engaging, and expandable design system using self-created/curated content of our choice. Having been a Chemical Engineer in the past, my instinct was to create a serial of content about the chemicals that transformed humanity. While we are aware of the negative consequences of these carbon based chemicals, I took this as an opportunity to appreciate the greater effort that inventors of our times put into making our lives better. Imagine living without electric insulation, car tires, ball point pens, glass frames, or lamp shades. The process involved steps like creating/curating content, designing a grid system, laying the content out using a single type family(Degular by Ohno), and adding colors/supporting visuals.
